Am I OK on my own?

Clearly much human success is the result of social cohesion. Inability to communicate with others can prevent benefiting from being a successful member of an organisation, a family or a romantic relationship. We are sociable as humans as apes are sociable within 'troupes' (it seems Orangutans are an exception to this rule). However being dependent on particular social links can be a weakness that limits our potential: staying in a toxic romantic relationship out of fear of being alone or staying in an organisation as an employee even though there are limited benefits. Being able to tolerate being on your own could mean that are able to choose a healthy relationship. It could also mean that you find an organisation to work for that provides suitable benefits or having the courage to start your own organisation.
