Hi sometimes it may seem that positive psychology lives in a bubble world of success that bears little relation to the daily difficulties an individual may be facing. Often it can seem that different ideas about your situation are producing conflict and uncertainty in your mind. It is important that you find time to rest your mind and clear away as many thoughts as possible. There are many ways to create this mental space; personally I find exercise such as running very beneficial. Surfing can be wonderful at clearing thoughts due to the concentration required and the beautiful setting. Is there one thought that seems to dominate and on reflection is there a good reason why this is the case? The next step is to set a goal with regard to this thought. The step after that is to create a strategy for achieving that goal. The final step is to execute the actions outlined in the strategy. If during this process conflict appears in terms of thoughts it might be best to repeat the process from the start.1.S (mental space) 2.T(thought) 3.R (reflection). 4.G (goal) 5.S (strategy) 6.E (execution)
