Realizing potential

Hi welcome to my best thoughts.What I am concerned about is developing thoughts which create happiness and well being and are able to do this partly as result of making decisions which enhance our life.
Here are some examples:
I chose to travel to Santa Monica in October of 2016. I experienced many opposing thoughts from other people and some from myself.It was vital that I regularly reenforced the thoughts that related to the plan for the plan to succeed. I have been in Santa Monica since January 27 and am very happy that certain thoughts were able to dominate.
In addition to deciding to travel to Santa Monica I also decided to study for my securities exam.Deciding to commit to certain thoughts can entail committing to impose discipline on oneself. For 18 days I immersed myself in study in preparation for the exam which I passed on January 25th.
A key point is that I have not in the past always enjoyed such control of my thoughts and actions and at times this was the cause of isolation unhappiness and confusion. Right now I feel serene and happy.
I hope by sharing ideas about happy control I can inspire others to achieve more control and happiness in their lives.
